- Day 1: Arrival – city walk
According to your flight, we will walk around the city visiting interesting neighbourhoods, small markets, and get the feeling of the city.
- Day 2: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park
Hit the road to the northern Province, Musanze for canoeing in Mukungwa river, with the incredible scenery, birds and locals jumping in the water. After a short break, go around the twin lakes, where you visualize the amazing scenery of the lakes surrounded by the volcanoes.
Later on, you will visit Dian fossey center in Kinigi, one of the living memories of Dian Fossey and learn a lot of things regarding mountain gorillas and their protection.
- Day 3: Volcanoes National Park
A great adventure in the Volcanoes National Park with gorillas. Drive to the starting point, from where you will set off on a walk into the depths of a tangled rainforest, accompanied by rangers who are good at tracing the footprints of mountain gorillas. Once you locate them, enjoy watching them in different dynamics, as they play, eat, etc. staying for a whole hour for conservation reasons before returning back for lunch and taking in this once in a lifetime experience.
Later on, join coffee makers to grasp coffee crop to cup production.
- Day 4: Volcanoes National Park – Lake Kivu
Start the day with a famous Congo Nile trail along with the local guide, through the tropical Kivu Belt Region on the shores of Lake Kivu visiting the villages, local churches and school and end the day with the traditional daily Night fishing with the local fishermen.
- Day 5: Lake Kivu – Kigali
A farewell breakfast in Gisenyi. Make a stop in Kibuye for a boat tour and stop to climb up to Napoleon Island, for a great hilltop view. Later on, resume the trip back to Kigali.
- Day 6: Kigali – Akagera National Park
Travel to the western Province of Rwanda, and on the way stop in Nyagasambu for a traditional Banana beer experience. You will learn how it is made step by step and get to taste afterwards. You will continue heading to Akagera Game lodge to rest and get ready for the next day.
- Day 7: Akagera National park – Kigali
A special day at Akagera National park for an incredible game drive in search of big 5. It is a beautiful and convenient savannah landscape to visit, characterized by woodland, swamps, low Mountains and a variety of wildlife. By having a full day of driving, you will have a chance to see what amazing creations the park holds.
After that amazing discovery hit the road back to Kigali.
- Day 8: Departure
According to the flight time, a full day in Kigali city where you might visit the Genocide memorial, art galleries and the bustling Kimironko market to pick up some last-minute souvenirs.
