During the trip you will travel throughout Rwanda. In the east you will visit Akagera National Park, known for its wooded and bush savanna, home to a variety of wildlife including The Big Five, more than 400 species of birds and 11 lakes.
In the north, home to Volcanoes National Park, you will discover the highest mountain in Rwanda – the only place where wild mountain gorillas live. You can also find golden monkey and buffalos; enjoy the rivers and the beautiful Twin Lakes. Enjoy spectacular views of the numerous islands on Lake Kivu while driving in the west of Rwanda. Lake Kivu is one of the five biggest lakes in Africa. Join the local fishermen in their traditional fishing boats, hike on the famous Congo Nile Trail, cruise to unique islands, take a dip in hot springs, walk beside Ndaba rock waterfall.
The south of the country is boarded by the spectacular Nyungwe Rainforest. Explore this incredible forest by hiking the abundant trails. Families of chimpanzees inhabit the forest; blue monkeys and black and white colobus hide and play in the tangle.
Experience the Canopy Walk and experience the spirit of the magical ancient forest from the height of the tree tops. A chance to visit tea and coffee plantations and learn the process of tea and coffee production, from crop to cup. Tea and coffee are the biggest export products in Rwanda, providing employment opportunities to the majority of the population. You will also visit the colorful markets where you can choose your own tailor-made clothes.
