- Day 1: Arrival – city walk
According to your flight, a walk tour around the city visiting interesting neighbourhoods, small markets, and get the feeling of the city.
- Day 2: Kigali – Nyungwe Forest
Start the trip heading to the southern province, along the way to visit the King palace in Nyanza, get to see and learn about different ancient traditional ways of living in Rwanda and get familiar with inyambo, the royal cows. After the tour continue with an amazing rain forest drive in Nyungwe forest to your hotel.
- Day 3: Nyungwe Forest
A special day where you will start early in the morning to trek the unique creation known as the Chimpanzees, meet a family while eating and playing. After lunch and a short rest, you will do a Canopy walk, the only one high and longest bridge in Africa. From there you can really sense the size and how magnificent this Natural Forest is
- Day 4: Nyungwe forest – Lake Kivu
Before driving to the north of Kivu lake, you will visit an island in Rusizi called Nkombo, where you can experience the island day to day life. You will continue the road north with another stop over at Kibuye, for a boat trip and climb up to Napoleon Island, for a great hilltop view.
- Day 5: Lake Kivu
Start the day with a famous Congo Nile trail along with the local guide, through the tropical Kivu Belt Region on the shores of Lake Kivu visiting villages, local churches and school and end the day with the traditional daily Night fishing with the local fishermen
- Day 6: Lake Kivu - Volcanoes National Park
A farewell breakfast to Kivu lake and heading to the volcanoes, visit the twin lakes, where you will get an opportunity for the magnificent scenery of the lakes surrounded by the volcanoes.
After lunch, continue to explore the region through canoeing in Mukungwa river, with the incredible scenery, birds and locals jumping in the water. On your way to the hotel, you will visit the Dian fossey center in Kinigi and learn about the social daily lives of gorillas and their protection.
- Day 7: Volcanoes National Park - Kigali
A trip to the mountain gorillas, it is the most important national park in Rwanda and among the most famous in the whole world, 160 square kilometres of rainforest surrounded by five powerful volcanoes, it is the habitat of the last mountain gorillas in the world, the historical base of primatologist Dian Fossey.
After breakfast you will drive to the starting point, from where you will set off on a walk into the depths of a tangled rainforest, accompanied by rangers who are good at tracing the footprints of mountain gorillas.
With the help of machetes for levelling the path, patience and patience we will locate the gorillas, with whom we will stay for about an hour, you will learn to get to know their special character and way of life. you will watch them as they search for food, play, clean each other and enjoy the tranquillity of the forest, an intimate encounter that will be an unforgettable one-time experience.
Goodbye lunch to the volcanoes, then hit the road to Kigali.

A special day drive to Akagera National park for an incredible game drive in search of big 5. It is a beautiful and convenient savannah landscape to visit, characterised by woodland, swamps, and low mountains which create a rich wildlife. By having a full day of driving, you will have a chance to see what amazing creations the park holds. After that amazing discovery hit the road back to Kigali.
- Day 10: Kigali city walk - Departure
According to the flight time, a full day in Kigali city where you might visit the Genocide memorial, art galleries and the bustling Kimironko market to pick up some last-minute souvenirs.
